One man’s resume may best sum up USC’s contribution to science, business, and industry. That man is no other than the man on top himself, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engr. Jesus Alcordo.

The Cabinet position is no strange to Engr. Alcordo. He has been a member of this highest governing body in the University since 2001. USC’s team of policy makers needs the leadership of people like Engr. Alcordo who has over 15 years of experience running some of the country’s biggest corporations.

At present, Engr. Alcordo is the President and Chief Executive Officer of National Power Corporation (Napocor). He also served as President and CEO of East Asia Power Resources Corporation from 1999 to 2001, and as its Chairman of the Board from 1994 to 1998. He is also the former President and CEO of WG&A Philippines, Inc. for 11 years, and the past President and Chief Operating Officer of Reynolds Aluminum.

A product of USC, he holds a degree in B.S. Chemical Engineering and has undergone an Executive Program in Business Administration at Columbia University, New York, U.S.A. The Chairman of the Board himself epitomizes the Carolinian excellence.
