About USC

Website Goals
  • Accessibility
The USC Website aims to be accessible to anyone regardless of technological skill or level of equipment he or she might possess.

  • Collaboration and Synergy
We believe in teamwork as the key to the success of the USC Web Site. We work together with all offices, programs, and individuals, centralizing information for use in all areas of the site as appropriate. Each project is a collaborative effort among the staff of Website Development Office and those of the different departments and units of the University. We share ideas to contribute to the final product, making each section of the site unique while fitting everything into the common look of brand USC.

  • Customer Service
We want to speed up and enhance interaction between USC and its clients in order to facilitate faster and better services to the latter. Different units and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the University should be able to communicate directly through the web site to provide current and prospective students, parents, and the rest of the public information and other online services they might need.

  • Culture
The WDO consists of dedicated and service-oriented staff that strives for excellence. The quality of the USC Website is our primary concern. As we deeply share every Carolinian’s concern for the welfare of the University, we are here to answer questions, listen to ideas, and accept any form of contribution that will make our home on the Web the best that it can be.

  • Focus We are constantly looking for ways to improve our services and create new web-based capabilities for current and prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University. To maintain relevant services to our clients, we examine how their preferences have been shaped by shifting trends in design and technology. Thus, while we aim to convey a unique identity for USC in this website, we admit it can only be a product of influences acquired from constant online research.
