日本の世界は楽しいかったです!(Nihon no sekai wa tanoshiikatta desu! Life in Japan was so enjoyable). The excitement of learning, living and experiencing life in another culture was so enriching. Being far away from home country might have brought me some feeling of homesickness in Osaka in the beginning but when I was acclimated to the cultural perspective of the exchange program, the experience became life transforming.

I felt so blessed reflecting on how I was able to manage life for the span of ten long months in Japan. I was able to reach the heights of my academic career as I availed the international grant. However, life has also put me to challenging moments where physical, emotional and spiritual survival was at test. Faith is my ever turning ground to stay the strongest possible together with the determination and will to survive.

The international exchange program in Osaka Gakuin University was very life rewarding because it was virtually a real-life study in Japan’s cultural traditions, language, business etiquette and history. In the long run I realized that it was not only about exploring Japan and expanding my intellectual horizon but I was struck with a pertinent discovery about myself as I journeyed life in Japan that I also have other talents and abilities far beyond what I used to know awaiting to be developed and shared. All in all, I am so proud and grateful for being a part of the International Exchange Student Program 2009-2010 at Osaka Gakuin University.

My best wishes for another fruitful year of international exchange program to my host University and utmost prayer of success to Princess Tiu, who will bear the torch of the Carolinian presence in the international program and pride of the Filipino people.

ありがとう ございました!Thank you very much!
