Accountancy grad bags silver medal in worldwide CMA exam

USC Accountancy graduate, Sarah M. Balisacan, CPA, CMA (U.S), achieved the second-highest average examination score worldwide in the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Examination during the September/October 2022 testing window. 

Sarah M. Balicasan, CPA, CMA, garnered the second-highest score in the worldwide Certified Management Accountant examination in 2022.

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Board of Regents gives the annual CMA certification to test the competencies of management accountants and financial professionals around the world. 

The examination covers cost management, corporate finance, and decision analysis, among others. Annually, 5,000 CMAs are granted on average. 

Balisacan graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Carlos in 2016. She also placed 10th in the 2016 CPA Licensure Examination. 

As an ICMA Silver Medal Awardee, Balisacan will be receiving her silver medal at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. in June 2023 in front of other delegates/IMA members across the globe.
