The 7th University Research Conference (URCon) will be held together with the 8th International Conference on Business and Economy (ICBE) and the 4th Sustainable Energy Ecosystems International Conference (SEECON) on April 19 to 22, 2023 at the Fr. Michael Richartz Conference Center and SAFAD Building in Talamban Campus.
Registration (inclusive of lunch and snacks for two days, i.e., April 20-21) for regular participants is Php3,500.00 while undergraduate and Senior High School students can register for Php1,000.00.
There are separate registrations for the 8th ICBE and the 4th SEECON (see below).


The 7th URCon will have the theme “Research across lifespans, cultures, and nations” and features two keynote speakers, namely Dr. Ernesto M. Pernia (former Secretary for Socioeconomic Planning, National Economic Development Authority) and Dr. Resil B. Mojares (National Artist for Literature).
Presentation of the Central Visayas Regional Development Plan 2023-2028 follows Dr. Pernia’s keynote address on the opening of the 7th URCon on April 20, 2023. The afternoon session features a symposium on the lives of Filipino adolescents from age 10-15, based on longitudinal studies conducted by the USC Office of Population Studies Foundation, Inc.
The 8th International Conference on Business and Economy will also be held on April 19-20, 2023 featuring Department of Tourism Undersecretary Atty. Mae Elaine T. Bathan.

Registration for the 4th SEECON hosted by the School of Engineering and the Center for Research in Energy Systems and Technologies (CREST) is also open. Details can be found below.
