Six Carolinians qualify for nationwide search for outstanding accounting students

All six contestants from the University of San Carlos made it to the Top 25 of this year’s 23rd Search for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP).

Top row, from left: Albiso, Buhia, Dicdican. Bottom row, from left: Lambo, Longno, and Quino.

The USC contingent is composed of Rica Mae Albiso, Kyra Shane Buhia, Adam Mahkail Dicdican, Leonelle Lambo, Jenzel John Longno, and Filna Quino.

SOASP is organized by P&A Grant Thornton in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI).

This annual nationwide competition aims to shine the spotlight on the country’s top accountancy students through interviews and qualifying examinations.

A final round will still be held to determine the 2022 SOASP champion.

To our Carolinian qualifiers, congratulations and all the best for the next round!
