A new Senior High School building for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand will soon rise in Talamban Campus as groundbreaking ceremonies were held at 11:30 a.m. today, January 29, 2019, which also marks the feast day of Society of the Divine Word (SVD) Missionary St. Joseph Freinademetz.

The ceremonies were graced by the USC Cabinet led by Fr. Dionisio M. Miranda, SVD, Fr. Aleksander Gaut, SVD, Fr. Narciso Cellan, SVD, Fr. Generoso Ricardo B. Rebayla Jr., SVD, and Fr. Arthur Villanueva, SVD, who were joined by Basic Education Director Dr. Antonio Batomalaque, Arch. Ritchie Sienes (designer, ArchiGlobal), and Engr. Eric Calivozo (ACEA Engineering) (see photo above). The time capsule was lowered by Riza Alfafara (SHS STEM Principal). The project is scheduled to be completed in October 2019.

Lunch was served at the TC Covered Courts after the ceremony. This was also a belated celebration of the feast day (January 15th) of St. Arnold Janssen, the founder of the Society of the Divine Word.
