USC grad places 3rd in worldwide CMA exam

Trisha Claire Yu Cabanlit, an Accountancy graduate of the University of San Carlos, received the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA) Bronze Medal for achieving the third highest exam score out of the thousands of candidates worldwide who took the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Examination during the September-October 2021 testing window.

Results of the examination were released in late February 2022.

The CMA certification given by the Institute of Management Accountants has been the global benchmark for management accountants and financial professionals for the last 50 years. The exam has two parts which covers 12 competencies including cost management, decision analysis, corporate finance, among others. On average, 5000 CMAs are granted each year. 

Cabanlit graduated magna cum laude from USC and she also placed 4th in the 2016 CPA Licensure Examination.
