USC receives Level III accreditation for Accountancy from FAAP board

The Accountancy program of the University of San Carlos was granted by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) Board a Level III status valid until November 2024.

An institution is granted Level III status only when it can present evidence of a reasonably high standard of instruction, a highly visible research tradition, and can list down community extension programs, among others.

USC’s Accountancy Department not only complied with the requirements but also demonstrated (1) a highly creditable performance of its graduates in licensure examinations over the last three years, (2) existence of working consortia or linkages with other schools and/or agencies, and (3) extensive and functional resource library and other learning facilities.

The accreditation would not have been possible without the efforts of all members of the Department of Accountancy, especially Eleanor Paclijan, Venus Branzuela, and Department Chair Atty. Wendell Ang

In granting the Accountancy program a Level III status, the FAAP Board as evaluated by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) found USC’s Accountancy program to exhibit the aforementioned qualities.
