USC receives NSTP/NSRC/DRRM awards

The University of San Carlos Office of National Service Training Program (NSTP), National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC), and Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) received a series of awards for its contribution to youth development and nation-building.

On December 11, 2023, USC Talamban Campus received a special award for Excellence in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Humanitarian Assistance Higher Education Institution (HEI) Category given by the Gawad Kalasag National Awards at the Manila Hotel in Ermita, Manila.

Another plaque of recognition was given to USC on December 18, 2023. This time, the University was recognized as the Best Higher Education Institution (Regional Level) for its “commitment, efforts, and successful implementation of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Programs and Advocacies.” The award was given during a ceremony held at the Marina Seaview Restaurant, Lapu-Lapu City. 

On January 24, 2024, Fr. Dindo Anthony F. Fallarme, SVD, Director of the Office of NSTP/NSRC/DRRM and Emma E. Selma, of the Office of NSTP/NSRC/DRRM presented the Best Practices in Institutionalizing NSTP/NSRC: The USC Experience during the Capability Enhancement Training for NSTP Implementers and Educators at the Ramada Manila Central, Binondo, Manila. 

The series of NSTP/NSRC/DRRM awards shows USC’s efforts to develop socially responsible professionals in line with its commitment to deliver an Education with a Mission.
