USC signs MOA with Fluence for post-Odette shelter

The University of San Carlos, through the Institute of Planning, and Design of the School of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Design (SAFAD) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Fluence Energy Inc. on July 14, 2022, at the USC Downtown Campus.

Fluence is a company engaged in the design, supply, deployment, operation and maintenance of energy storage systems and solutions, with project sites in different parts of the country.  

It aims, among others, to enhance the quality of life of the residents of communities located near the project sites. 

In view of this, USC will plan and design a post-Odette shelter and its applicable building techniques and methods for this project site. The project will be handled by Ar. Marc Christian Ruz. 

Present during the MOA signing event were University President Fr. Narciso A. Cellan Jr., SVD, Vice President for Academic Affairs Fr. Jesuraj Anthoniappen, SVD, SAFAD Dean Ar. Margret Deguilmo-Rosario, USC Community Extension Services Director Fr. Franlou Bardon, SVD, and Ar. Marc Christian Ruz. 

Meanwhile, Fluence was represented by Ms. Fermida de Leon (Global Safety & Quality Director) and Mr. Carlo Macatangay (SEA Director).
